Sock Poi
Exactly like sock poi, but better.
Our sock poi are made from Tencel, a fabric that is widely regarded as one of the most environmentally responsible fabrics available. Tencel is a closed process bamboo rayon. That means that while yes, chemicals are used to break down the bamboo (a VERY sustainable resource), the chemicals are recycled and used over and over again, instead of being put back into the environment. That adds up to a fabric which has an even lower environmental impact than cotton does, because cotton is so water dependent.
All our fabric poi have actual beans in their 100% cotton bean bags.
All our sock poi have a convenient “window” on the side for easy access to the bag, just in case you need to take it out to dry, change the weight, or if you just need to wash your poi shell. Don’t worry, the bags won’t fly out and smack some other person in the head, due to a snug fit and centrifugal forces as the poi spins. We promise.
Right now offer 2 grip styles. Soon we aim to add sustainable grips, by the end of 2024.
